The PgMP® is a globally recognized certification from PMI (Project Management Institute) for senior-level professionals who manage multiple, related projects and drive strategic organizational goals.
You must earn 60 PDUs (Professional Development Units) every 3 years to maintain your credential.You must earn 60 PDUs (Professional Development Units) every 3 years to maintain your credential.

PgMP is for managing multiple, related projects (programs) that deliver strategic business value.
As of early 2025, there are around 4,000–5,000 PgMP-certified professionals globally. It’s an elite and exclusive credential, adding to its prestige and value.
The PgMP certification is valid for three years. You must earn and report 60 PDUs during each three-year cycle to renew it.
Not using the title doesn't affect certification status. However, if you don’t meet the PDU renewal requirements, the credential will expire after 3 years, regardless of usage.
You can request a replacement certificate through PMI’s online certification portal for a small fee.
